AKA Missing in Action....

Four More Days till Ms Ginger gets to see Little Ms. Maya again... AND she will have this awesome look on her face...

Please excuse the back ground... I don't have a eraser to remove the crap!

Since Ginger is out on the prowl and unable to update her BLOG... I wanted to say to her and everyone else that is following ....

MORE DAYS!!!!

I don't know where to start....

When I took Angelena in for her 9 month wellness checkup, the doctor noticed that her hips were clicking. She asked me if I had ever noticed it. I have... I think I started noticing when she came home, but I seen her doctor check her out before and she never said anything, so I figured it was normal. Well come to find out... It is not normal.

The doctor wanted me to get her some x-rays, but had said that they will sedate her a little to get her to hold still. I didn't like the idea of that, so I keep putting it off. I talked to some of my friends, and they suggested tho see if I can go in with her to have them done, and have me hold her. Well it worked. She didn't' move at all. I was soooooooo proud of her. We had the x-rays done on Friday Evening, and first thing Tuesday morning, (monday was a holiday), Angelena's doctor Dr. Berry called and said they were referring us to the Scottish Rites Hospital in Dallas. It appears that Angelena has Hip Dysplasia also know as "CDH" - "congenital dysplasia of the hip" which is "The location of the problem can be either the ball of the hip joint (femoral head), the socket of the hip joint (the acetabulum), or both."... Did you get all that? Angelena's doctor office said that she will be getting a harness of some sort. That Scottish Rites Hospital will know what to do for her. SO imagine giving me ALL that information... I did my own research on the Internet... BAD MOMMY... Cause I see what the realistically thing can be, and it isn't lightly coated as the doctors tell you...

She can have anywhere from a harness - braces, to lower body cast, to surgery and traction... I know in my heart the latter will not be... She is still young and her bones are still soft. But, I see how they do the test, and picture I see on the Internet... I see allot of Angelena in some of these pictures... The way she sits with her legs spread, one leg under her and the other out to her side...







We have an appointment with the Hospital on 3/1, then we will be going to get her helmet adjusted. Which she will then get to get that off in 4 more weeks.

I just hate to see my daughter go through this. She seems so little and so helpless. She is such a sweet little baby that only deserves the best... If I could take all this pain away I would... Once everything is going I will post some real picture of her, but before I do that, I will be making this blog private.

Day of Sickness....

IT is cold out side, but not as cold as it has been... Which makes me think that is why I am sick...

On top of that... We still have the house up for sale, and everytime someone wants to come in for an appointment, we all bundle up and go for a ride... anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours... Talk about wasting gas... I decided tomorrow, we will get in the car and go to the end of the block and sit there and wait for the people to go... I feel like crap, and just want to sleep... AND THANK GOODNESS it isn't Angelena or Mom that is sick... JUST ME!!!

Anyway... Just wanted to post a picture or 2, cause, I AM SO IN LOVE with my Baby....

MAYA UPDATE!!!

I recieved a call from my friend Ginger last night!!! GUESS WHAT... MAYA IS OFFICIAL IN PGN.... There have bben several ups and downs witht her case, but it appears that the UPS are finally WINING!!!!

Ginger is also going for anther visit, at the end of the month, and she has a layover here in TX ... SO THAT MEANS... Angelena and Me are going for a ride to the airport... Angelena gets to see her AUNTTIE GIN!!!!!! AND AUNTTIE DEB!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!

SOME MUCH INFO TODAY!!!

First... We did a little retail therapy this weekend durning the open house. How could I pass up this little outfit!!! LOOK AT HER BOOTIE!!!! I love the trap door!!!

Then, wehn we got home, guess what was on our door step??? A PACKAGE FROM MY SECERT BLOG PAL!!! Angelena got some loot!!! And mommy got some GUATEMALAN COFFEE BEANS!!! YAHOO... As my SPB mentioned... Coffee to me is like Chocolate to her!!! Take about doing the PEEPEE dance... Look at Angelena... She couldn't wait to get into this stuff!!!! THANK YOU SBP!!! A PERSON AFTER MY OWN HEART... AND we even have new stuff for her Helmet!!!

Ok... now we all know Angelena can crawl... RIGHT... Well she can also, pull herself up to a standing postion... But she doesn't get the concept that it is a harder fall when she let go... Good thing she has her helmet!

OPEN HOUSE

Well it is offical... The house if up for sale and we are having an open house today... The house went up with the sign in front, and MLS listing on Thursday night, and friday morning there were 3 appointment to come and see it!!!

So keep your eyes are ears open... Major changes are coming in the Puls household! Look out CA... WE ARE COMING!!!!

GUESS WHO CAN CRAWL!

First you sit her on her behind..... And of course she sees the camara, so she starts cheez'en

Then she gets up on her knees.... And bounces! Good thing she has a clean diaper on!!!

Then she starts to lean... Thank good for QUICK CLICK on the camara!!!

And down you have it... on her hands and knees... The last couple of weeks she has been doing this... But then does a belly flop to rech stuff... she would do it like an inch worm....

And of course... looking at mommy for approval!!!!

So these pictures were taken on Sunday... Then last night, I just happen to have the camara and camcord sitting next to me on the table, and she started to crawl... I have it on video... I tied my Blue and White braclet to a piece of yarn and put her a cross the room, and pulled the yarn towards me... SHE STARTED FOLLOWING IT... on her HANDS AND KNEES yep Crawling.... Once I figure out how to post a video on this blog, I will post it!!!!

SYNCHRONICITY AGAIN

Being apart fromm family is not easy. The old saying goes, Distant makes the Heart grow fonder... But, when that distant end in a loss... The heart then aches. Wish that you would have done more, been closer, or go and visit... Because that last memory of someone ALWAYS stays in your mind...Lossing someone in your family is never easy. Have you ever felt close to someone, but didn't live close to them, but love them with all your heart, and wish that life could have been different. When you are young, you never really have choices, your parents make them for you... And when you get older, you look back and try to figure out what and why things happened. Some times people will tell you half of the story... sometimes people will hint, or just say ask someone else. Even when you point blank ask "WHY"... you never get a straight answer... As I am older, I tried to put thing together your . BUT what does it matter... You are older and you can make your own decissions.... OK.... I guess I am just rambling.... I am tring to gather my thoughts and grieve due to a death in my family.

I was getting ready for my post homestudy this morning, had about 15 minutes before the social worker, Susan came, so I ran upstairs to pay some bills, and check my email... I receive an email from my cousin in the Midwest telling me we lost a wise sole in the family, the person I was named after past away last night in her sleep... at the same time I am reading the email, the doorbells rings.... Homestudy time.... I answer the door crying, trying to explain what had just happened, and that I didn't want to tell my mom till after the homestudy...

So with that.... The SYNCHRONICITY stricks again...

By the way... The Post Homestudy went well... As expected... How could it not, Angelena is an AMAZING CHILD! Oh and she is MINE!!!
