Well, here is some more news!!!

I AM WAITING ... Imagine THAT!!

I am so very patiently waiting for an email of Angelena Christina Puls. Now again, we wait... Once, I receive the picture and health info, and accept her, you will all know. But, as you all know me... I am the most PATIENT person in the world... OK, now stop laughing, all of you...

This morning, the agency sent out a picture of a little boy, almost 9 years old, that was in need of a family. Grandma was so cute, she said, well maybe you need him too!

What was so funny, this morning I got a voice mail from a friend of mine, saying, "Ellie it is official, You CANNOT buy anything else for Angelena, or at least until after your baby shower." I had mom listen to it, and she call my friend back, but Grandma will not reveal what she found out... How dare her! Do you know how hard it is for me not to buy something for my Angel! Well at least for now, I can window shop! I already have 5 Gift cards for Babies R Us, that have been burning a hole in my purse. So, I am putting them in Grandma's purse to keep the heat out of mine!!

So, as of today, I am starting to OFFICIAL register at "Babies R US". I unofficial started adding things to the list about a month ago, but I had only told a very good friend of mine. She started to giggle about it, so I didn't tell anyone else. I didn't want to seem too excited… But, heck! Why not!

I keep checking my email every 5 minutes. That needs to STOP... I can't seem to get anything done.

I hope someday, when Angel reads this, she will understand how much she really means to me. Not only do I have this journal, but I have another journal that will be for her. It tells her a lot about our family and friends, my inner feels before she comes to us. I have been told, that this is something very special that she will treasure for the rest of our lives.

Until more news!

Family Pictures Used for Homestudy!

Well, we are in the final stretch. Grandma and I went to the immigration office Saturday Morning for out fingerprinting. I got the go ahead to send all the paper work to the Secretary of State for Certification, and then forward them to the Guatemala Consult for Authenticity. Which should be done this week, I have someone walking them into both places. Then off to the Country! Once it gets to the country, we wait for the REFFERAL!!

I received wonderful feed back from both my social worker and the councilor from the adoption agency. They love the way our family is proud to be with each other, and how the diversity of the ethnic backgrounds have no barriers.

Today is Easter Sunday, and I sit here and think that next year at this time, life will be completely different.

Well that’s all for now. Love to All, and have a wonderful Day!!!

Next Step

Well, I finally receive the Home Study report, and as expected. All systems are go AGAIN. The report is being sent to the BCIS, it should be there Monday. Once we receive the 171H approval document, we will be able to actually see pictures and medical history of Angel. We are anticipating having this in about 4-6 weeks. Maybe soon. Who knows. There always seems to be little road blocks, and my head is starting to hurt form hitting them.

I have a friend that is in the process of adoption form Guatemala, but she is ahead of me in the process. She is actually going at the end of the month visit her new daughter. She is waiting for her Travel date to go pick her up. This trip is just a visit. She is so excited, and I can only sit back and watch, and give her all the support I can, know that someday, that will be me. It is an amazing feeling to see that she will be bonding with her child. I know the hardest thing will be, is for her to leave her daughter there after the visit. She is going to be taking tons of pictures, and this will be the first time she will be holding the baby in her arms. This is very exciting, and I am so grateful to her to allow me to see the precious moments and feelings, that comes with her life altering treasure. I can’t wait to see the pictures!!! THANK YOU GINGER!!!

Now as for the HOMESTUDY-

As I read it, I started to cry, know that this document is truly the start of my daughter. I read it to Grandma, and we both have been on an emotional rollercoaster. It is like walking on a cloud and my feet aren’t touching the ground. I want to thank everyone for the wonderful support in this process. The social worker received several letters from family and friends showing their support in my decision to adopt. I am keeping a scrap book for Angelena and I have asked the social worker if I can have copies of the letter to add. Some of the quotes that she put on the home study from these letters were amazing, thank you thank you thank you.

As for the latest on the home front-

As most of you know, Grandma had another surgery, BOTH knees replaced. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks and has been home for 1. I would go to the hospital in the morning before work, go to work, go back to the hospital and then go home, everyday. I just hated to see mom in the hospital, and I know she was going stir crazy. And that bed. It completely**** . Well lets just say it was HARD. The day after surgery, the had mom up walking. Kathy and myself was there, and we all started to cry, the nurses thought that something was wrong, but it was happy tears, to see mom up walking, and standing up straighter than I have seen her in over 10 years... It was amazing.

Well that’s all for now.
