"Light For Flight"

Hi All-

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have made candles that I am selling. The idea behind this candle making, is a couple of reasons:

1) On the Day that Angelena Comes homes to the states with me, I want everyone that has one of these candles lite for our guiding light.
2) To have the people I love and cherish, family and friends, to be with me on my ultimate dream that is coming true.
3) All proceeds with be used for Angelena
4) All the candles have 1 poem that I have written for the Journey, and 1 that I borrowed and adjusted fittingly for me and my daughter.

Thanks
Ellie

Another Day

Well, it has been one thing after another. But, I am getting close for all the final paper work. Now it is a waiting game, once I get everything back from everywhere, then I have to submit it to the state for them to Certify everything, then I need to have it sent to the Guatemala Consult to have it authenticated. THEN we can have it sent to Guatemala, and hopefully get a "referral". I am hoping to it all sent by May.

My home study is scheduled for 3-11, I have been working around the house all week, putting up some of the pictures that hadn't found their place yet. I have been working in Angelena's room getting it ready.... And Yesterday, Grandma, Aunttie Kathy and Uncle Bingie, order her Crib bedding, lamp, curtains and wall murals. They should be here next week, and I will put them up and take pictures! Once I have the pictures, I will post them. Here is a few for your viewing pleasures....

Well, that's all for now.

It Has Begun

The whole process started when I made my initial contact to Faithful Adoption. I corresponded with the counselor and she sent me some information and my contract! After a few days of contemplating it, I signed the agreement and was on my way.

First I had to do an initial application with about 10 questions. I was open pretty much to adopting anywhere (International) and wasn't really sure on the gender yet. Once I decided on a few things, I was able to narrow down who and exactly where I want to adopt form and why.

I choose to adopt a little girl form Guatemala under the age of 1. Now, we are no longer aloud to call her, "It, or the Baby" we refer to her and Angelena Christina, or Angel, or Lena. Once we actually get pictures of her, we will know what will fit her the best!

It seems that things are done in phases, if you don't it starts to feel a little overwhelming.

Few of the first things I had to do:
Copies of Certified Birth Certificates
Pictures take for Passports and submit the application for the passport
File out the I-600A and submit it (Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition) Finger Printed
FBI Clearance
Do an Auto Biography
14 Pages of Questions and Answers
Prepare for my Home Study
Financial Information
Get Pictures of my family (this is fun)
Get Pictures of my home (this is fun)
Physician Statements

That is enough for you all to get the idea.

My counselor at FA had me put down on the anticipated date to travel to Guatemala to pick her up, so we are using the date 8/06. It may be sooner or later, we just don't know.

Mom is going to California on 2/5, for 3 week to see Joey's baby and wait for Shannon's baby to be born. I will be following her on the evening of the 22nd, and we both will be returning on the 26th. The home study will be done when we get back, most of the information should be back by then also.

If anything comes up I will post it.

So until then.....
