Angelena's Special Day
With everything that has been going on resently, I forgot to post...
On Oct 27, 2007 - Angelena will be Baptized! We have a wonderful day planned out.
Saturday we have to be at the church by 9:45 am, and then once it is over, we will be having the reception in the Parish Hall.
I pretty much have everything that can be done, done... I have to go to reherrsal Thursday night, decorate the hall Friday night, pick up the food Saturday morning at 8:30am, take it to the hall, get Stinky ready and be in the church by 9:45.
Angelena's God Parents are my Sister Kathy and Brother Kevin.
Nina Kathy bought Angelena the most beautiful dress for this special occasion, along with a little tira! I still have to figure out how to do the her hair... I sure do hope it isn't a bad Hair Day for her!
Also, when I was in Guatemala visiting Angelo, his foster mother took him to a priest to be blessed because he wasn't doing to well, and she was worried. She had a Baby Rosary on him, and I had asked her if I could have it and bring it home, she said yes. I origianlly wanted to have Angelena and Angelo baptized together, but he won't be home soon, so I said I would go ahead and have Angelena done. I plan on pinning Angelo's Baby Rosary onto Angelena's dress somewhere, so she will have a part of her Brother with her.
I looked and looked for form Baby shoes for Angelena, and just couldn't find the ones I wanted, I went to a "Special Shoe Store" and found some White Baby HIP TOPS, with Silver bars on the side, I didn't buy them, but OH SO WANTED TO! They looked so cute, but for $75.00 don't think so! THEN 2 weeks ago, Erika and Joey were at the Farmers Market, and there was a shoe man there and they found the perfect pair of shoes for the Baptism. They are white with Silver writting on the top, in spanish - MY BAPTISM.
When we first brought Angelena home from Guatemala, Auntie Kathy bought a gold braclett that Angel spelt out. IT was way to big for her, but I have kept it in my drawer, and guess what... IT FITS HER PERFECT NOW... So she will also be sporting a gold braclett...
Grandma, Angelena, and myself set out on a mission last weekend to find the perfect Candle and Sash. Sure enough... FOUND IT... It came with a little Shell for the water, and a little rosay, and a childrens bible in spanish.
Let me tell you, with Angelena only being 18 months old, I have saved so much of her "FIRSTS" that I am going to need a BIGGER trunk to store them all in.
I have the outfit that she was handed over to me in, her home coming dress, first pair of shoes, Guatemalan Blanket from Guatemala, her first Guatemalan Outfit, her Helmet, her favorit toys, etc... Let's just say A LOT OF STUFF.
Something I acutally even started for Angelo. I already have the outfit that he came home in from the hospital. His foster mother bave it to me when I was there. I have his DVD and Pictures... NOW ALL I NEED IS HIM!
And now ~ I am having issues with getting my I171H extended. It has taken me since July 14 to get that straightened out, and it looks like it should be done 11/2. We have to go to Sacramento to do a Sworn Statement infront of Home Land Security, because mom's finger prints are not readable.
Anyway... I don't know when I will be able to post again, so I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on.
