OUR DAY IN COURT

Our day started at 5:30 am, no matter what time you go into wake Angelena up in the morning, you almost ALWAYS GET this sleepy smile... Is she just the CUTIEST!!!

After a diaper change, hair brushed, wash down, and dressed Angelena sits so proudly on Mommy's bed to take pictures.

And yes she still have the sleepy in her eyes because it is early and mommy woke her up to get dress, and go into the car to go back to sleep! Just to let everyone know, she had a snow suit over her dress... IT is really cold here in TX these days.

So off to court we go... Mommy follows the directions from Map Quest... SO EVERYONE know how that went... We did get lost, and just so happens the exit we take to turn around had a Starbucks on the corner... So mommy pulled in there to get a little bit of "THAWING JUICE". Then back on the road again... The only problem with this is, the traffic going the other was was really bad.... Needless to say, we made it to the Court house on TIME!!!! We parked and made our way though security, up the elevator, down the hall and waited.... Our wonderful Attorney shows up with another family that are doing the re adoption too! We all talked alittle, and off the attorney went in to court room, as we waited till we were called. Once we were called in, we went up to the front and stood infront of the Judge, gave oath, our attorney presented our case, and the Judge GRANTED IT! It was Officailly OFFICIAL! We ask the judge if we could take a picture and she agreed (SEE BELOW)

After we were done, we waited in the holding cell for the other family to do their re-adoption and then we all went out to the hall as Our Attorney went and had the orders Certified.

Now, let me tell you alittle about the other family... As you remember way back in my blog, I did an entry in regards to FATE.... I corolated things with dates, names, timings, and the synchronicity of the whole adoption...

The wonderful family that was doing their re adoption named their daughter: "Wendy Elizabeth" . For those who don't know this, I have a cousin named Elizabeth, and her nick name is Wendy... She was the cousin that went with my mom and me to Guatemala the first time to meet Angelena.

With no further ado... This is Miss Wendy and Miss Angelena together after their court hearing...

The next couple of pictures are of Little Miss Wendy's parents Phyllis and Alan, and the very last picture is all of us together with our Attorney Ms. Jody Hall, of Adoptions International of Dallas TX.

Once we all went out of the Court house, guess what we found....

SNOW!!! Yep that's right, it was snowing in Dallas... I drove to my work, let everyone see Angelena, then went to the Agency's Office. And guess who was there..... Phyllis, Alan, and Wendy! Yahoo! We all talked a little, watch the kids play, visited with Olga, the coordinator that helped us out through out the adoption... Something I noticed... Olga LOVES kids... I think she needs a few!!!

HINT HINT OLGA... I know you read this!!!

Away... we went home, and say grandma... She was so happy to see us. Unfortuantly, she was able to go with us to the court, grandma has been under the weather and I really didn't think it would have been wise to let her out into the cold weather... Not to mention, Anglena was a little sick to. The day before our court date, she was running a fever, runny nose, coughing, and that other thing that I need rubber gloves for!!! But, luckily, she was doing better for her court date!

Well that's all for now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY

THE BIG 9 MONTHS!
I only wish I could stop time to really enjoy every little last minute of your day.... But then again.... Everyday is your day... Big Changes this week for Angelena...
Weight: 14 lbs 11oz
Height:26 1/2 in.
Head: 17 in
Ok... We know she is kind of small, but her wonderful doctor said she is growing, and is becoming more active...
She is now starting to eat STAGE 3 Baby Food... - Today was her first day, and we already know what she DON'T LIKE - 1) Turkey Dinner 2) Pasta with Veges 3) Green Beans... Guess what... THE DOGS LOVE THEM!!! So the both Jasmine and Honey will get to eat the food that Angelena don't like... I will not just through them out.... And boy does Angelena have a way to tell me she don't like these... You would think she would spit it out, keep her mouth closed, turn her head??? Nope, she will let you put it in her mouth and then she starts gaging on it... I know that is gross... But, I know if I didn't like something, I would not let someone put it in my mouth.... It was so funny... I hope that don't make me a bad mommy.... I am sure she will change her ways sooner or later...
BUT FOR NOW.... MY PEANUT IS 9 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEANUT..... (butter butt)
Love you Mommy.

STRESS

Ok... I have been so stress out these last few weeks, I just need to shout out...
Everything happens at once... First when we got back from CA after Christmas, it was official, we are moving back. So with that said we need to:

1) Find a good realitor
2) Drink some Coffee
3) Take down every single family picture in the house, fill the holes and paint.. (which makes me upset, because none of the family is here, and I look at these pictures everyday and see their faces... Now they are all in a box and the house seems so empty without them)
4) Pack a ton of stuff, cause the realitor said less it better
5) Drink more Coffee
6) Go back to work Full Time
7) Do Angelena's Post Homestudy Report (which will be completed 2/3/07)
8) Applied for Angelena's SS# before Dec, and haven't recieved it yet, so make several calls to the Social Security Office... AND GET THE RUN AROUND
9) Drink more Coffee
10) Complete the Re-Adoption before moving to CA (Court date 1/31/07 YAHOO!)
11) Find out my sister is in the hositpal due to complications from a surgery she had a year ago (we want to go home... she has 3 kids which are ALL ADULTS... but you wonder, are they really... Only 1 of them has even go to see her; my neice has 3 kids, works full time and pretty much has no help for her significate other but has been there though it all. Her plate is completely full and over running... As the other 2 - they said they will have to try... One of them even made the comment that he will see if he could go... AS IF HE HAD TO ASK FOR PERMISSION! It is completely heart breaking to know this is going on there, and we are so far away and have our hand tided. Regardless of how people feel, family is family, and if there were any possiblities, that they would never see someone again, BRIDGES SHOULD BE MENDED, people will regret it for the rest of their lives, of course if the have a true heart, and really do believe...AND her ex husband has been there right by her side too! GOT TO LOVE HIM... HAVE ALWAYS LOVED HIM!)
12) Prepare for a Open House for the Sale of the house.
13) Drink More Coffee
14) Try and figure out where we want to move in the Bay Area... Benicia, Vallejo, Napa, Fairfield, Concord, Martinez, etc....
15) Clean my Desk off - (Thank God I don't have a picture of it.... It could be used as blackmail)
16) In between everything else.... TAKE CARE OF MY PEANUT!!!! THE BEST PART OF IT ALL...

I just want to click my heals 3 times and say...

I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home....

POOFFF..... I AM HOME...

God how I wish it was that easy...

So, does anyone want to buy some furniture? I have a Pool Table, Dinning Room Table with 8 chairs and a hutch that goes with it, Queen Size electric Bed, Theater Seating for 4, 4 piece sectional with a chase lounge, Tredmill, stationary bike, a garage full of crap.... I can keep going but I am tired and I want to post Angelena's 9 month birthday!

So that is all for now...

Bad Hair Day

Bad Hair Day
Ok, in these pictures Angelena is only 8 months old... How in the world does a 8 month old baby have so much hair... SOOOOOOOO much hair, that mommy is completely clueless on how to fix it...
Get this:
1) she has 2 cow licks... one in the front that goes to the right, and on on the crown of her head that goes to the left... So imagine this... THEY HAVE TO MEET SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE? WRONG! THEY MEEAT EVERYWHERE...
2) with her head shape, head band WILL NOT stay in. I even went as far as to bobby pin them in... BUT HER HAIR is so Soft and thin the bobby pins fall out, and I don't want her to choke on them...
3) As said above, her hair is so thin and silky, nothing stays in it... Hair clips, Bobby Pins, etc... everything just slips out...
4) Little rubber bands work... But, you try keeping you hair in pony tails day in and day out... I can say the pony tails do hold her helmet in place... But, that helmet isn't going to be her forever...
5) I tried those head wraps that are made out of nylon, with the pretty bows on them... Well, we come into the head shape problem again... AND, I am not really sure where to put them... Under the ears, Over the ears, Behind the ears... Regardless.... SHE DON'T LIKE IT...
So with that.... HELP!!!! SOS!!!! WHAT SHALL I DO!!!
OH I SHOULD MENTION: I WILL NOT CUT HER HAIR, We have come this far to get it this long... (trying to manage better), that I figure cutting it short, would start the problems all over again... And, I would be afaid that the curls won't grow back... Considering only 1 side of her head actually has curls, the other side has straight hair....
CALL ALL BLOGGER FRIENDS>>>>> SOS!!!
